Meaning of "Exhaust Fans/Filters" to me:

Exhaust Fans are needed in an indoor (and sometimes outdoors in greenhouses). These fans allow fresh air to be taken into your grow area and "old used" air to be removed from your grow area. This ensures "fresh" C02 to get to your plants. This is required for photosynthesis. Exhaust fans also will help keep your area cooled.

Filters can be used on several pars of your tents or greenhouses. Generally a pre-filter will be used on the intake to remove dirt, dust, bugs and other things to be removed prior to entering your grow area. An Exhaust (Activated Charcoal) filter is generally used to remove smells from your tent prior to being exhausted into another area.
